User Experience Design plays a critical role in the success of products and services. This course was focused on the production process. I learned how to use Information Architecture and User Centred Design, as it relates to User Experience Design and Usability Testing.
Testing lets the design and development teams identify issues throughout the development of a project. The earlier issues are identified and fixed, the less expensive the fixes will be in terms of both staff time and possible impact to the production schedule.
It’s important to keep in mind that usability testing is not just a milestone to be checked off on the project schedule. The team should have a goal for why they are testing and then implement the results.
